LoungeOS is an offline-first POS for Nigerian restaurants, bars, lounges, clubs and hotels. It runs on a Windows computer in your venue, and your waiters’ phones connect over Wi-Fi. A grid outage, a slow ISP or a congested network does not stop orders, kitchen tickets or payments.
Built for how Nigeria pays
Nigerian customers pay with cash, POS card terminals, bank transfers and wallets, often several on the same bill. LoungeOS records them all and lets a table split one bill across methods.
The biggest risk with transfers is the fake credit alert: a customer shows a convincing screenshot and walks out. The fix is a routine, not a gadget:
- The cashier records the payment in LoungeOS with the transfer reference or the payer’s name.
- Nobody releases the table until the money shows in the business account, not on the customer’s phone.
- At closing, the manager compares LoungeOS transfer totals with the bank statement.
Every payment is attached to a cashier, a table and a time, so gaps are traced in minutes. See loss prevention.
Configure LoungeOS for Nigeria
- Currency: the naira (NGN) is built in. Prices, receipts and reports show ₦.
- VAT: Nigeria’s VAT rate is 7.5%. If you charge VAT, set a 7.5% tax rate as the default. You can add other lines, such as a service charge, as separate rates.
- Receipts: your business name, address, phone and logo on every thermal receipt.
Generator-proof by design

|---|---|
| Grid goes off, generator starts | Host on a UPS keeps running. Phones on battery stay connected |
| ISP or mobile data goes down | Nothing changes. LoungeOS runs on your local Wi-Fi |

Frequently asked questions
Does LoungeOS integrate with my POS terminal (Moniepoint, OPay, bank terminals)?
LoungeOS records card and transfer payments made on your existing terminal or bank account. It does not control the terminal. You keep your current provider and fees, and LoungeOS takes no percentage.
How do I stop fake transfer alerts?
Record every transfer with its reference in LoungeOS, confirm receipt in your business account before releasing the table, and reconcile LoungeOS totals with your bank statement at closing.
Can I use it in a lounge with VIP sections?
Yes. Create service areas for VIP and regular sections and assign waiters to each. See lounge POS.
Will the price change with the exchange rate?
Nigerian prices are set in naira, not converted from dollars every day. If prices change, existing subscriptions keep their price until renewal.
